Steven Lee Turner

March 11, 1951 - February 12, 2022

Steven Lee Turner, 70 of Sumiton, passed away Feb. 12, 2022. Mr. Turner was a member of Dora Church of God and was an Alabama football fan. Funeral services will be Saturday Feb. 19, 2022 at 2pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 1-2pm. Rev. Dale Horton and Rev. Larry Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper. No services will be held at graveside. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Turner; mother, Beverly Siverly; son, Spencer Turner; granddaughter Elizabeth Bailey; two great-granddaughters, Rize Rusk and Journey Coleman and sister Debbie Caldwell. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Geraldine Turner; children, Sonya Bailey (Mark), Shawn Musgrove and Shannon Harbison (Brian); grandchildren; Brooke Rusk (C.J.) Lucenia Coleman (Jordan) A.J. Murray, Amee Bailey, Brianna Harbison, Beckee Bailey, and Brantley Harbison; great-grandchildren, Ryanna McAllister, Brody McAllister, Ryker Coleman and Melody Coleman; sisters, Diana Turner Bailey, Marsha Morgan (Brian), Mary Ann Colman, Betty Jane Bergschneider and Joni Turner; brothers, Brian Turner and Scott Turner, niece, Stacy Potter (Pat) as well as a host of extended family and loved ones.
