Mary L. Jackson

June 18, 1924 - January 19, 2022

Mary L. Jackson, age 97 of Bagley, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Jackson; son, Jimmy L. Jackson; mother, Dolly K. Newman; father, Joe J. Ledbetter; brothers, Joe Ledbetter, Gerald Ledbetter, Walt Ledbetter and James Ledbetter as well as one sister, Jane Ann Remer. Mary is survived by her sons, Stan Jackson (Carol) and Joe Jackson (Patti); grandsons, Chris Jackson and Scott Jackson (Buffie); great-grandchildren, Peyton Jackson, Sydney Jackson, Abbie Jackson, Ethan Jackson, Dakota Jackson and Tanner Jackson as well as many numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was married to the love of her life for fifty-five years. She loved visits from her family and joyfully devoted her life to them. Mary was an avid seamstress with a gift for customizing clothing of all styles. She was a fan of Alabama football. She loved to travel and was ready to go anywhere at any time. The family would like to extend special thanks to Compassus Hospice and Ascension Home Health Care for the excellent care given to Mary during her illness. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 24, 2022. Visitation from 12-1pm at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home in Dora. Graveside service will begin at 2pm at Elmwood Cemetery. Burial will follow in Elmwood. Bro. Randall Phillips officiating.
