Joan Butler, age 74, of Sipsey, Al. went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cohen and Doris Gann, sister Karen Faye Gann, sister-in-law Linda Gann, nephew Jeremy Rhodes and niece Jennifer Gann Hyche. Survived by her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, Rickey. Only child, Keith (Susan) Rice. Grandchildren, Tiffany (Jamie) Carter, Ashley Rice and Coby Rice. Great grandchildren, who she greatly adored, Sawyer Alexander, Levi Carter and Oaklee Carter, expected March 2022. Sisters, Brenda (Cefo) Bland and Kay Dudzinski. Brother, Doug (Shelia) Gann. Four wonderful nieces, two great nieces and three great nephews. She loved many and was loved by many. She was a firm believer and follower of Jesus. She loved her family, her hair big and blonde, her lipstick bright, going to Jasper Mall and “Belkin,” gospel music, spending time at their camper with Ricky and Sawyer, prank calling family and friends and laughing. Joan was sassy and stubborn but to know her was to love her. She will be so greatly missed. Services will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation from 5-7pm on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Funeral service beginning at 11am on Friday, December 31, 2021 with burial following in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Bro.
