Douglas Owen Brasfield, 92 of Quinton, passed away May 5, 2022at his residence. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a self-employed Carpenter. He was previously employed with Mitchell Brothers Builders. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jane S. Brasfield. Survivors include his children Debra Gilbert, Dwight Brasfield (Connie), Christy Daugherty (Larry) and Rhonda Henderson (Larry); grandchildren, Heather Brakefield, Hilary Williams (Steve), Beth Eddings (Zach), Kayla Crider (Blake), Callie Henderson (fiancé Thor Sewell) and Candy Allred (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Shane Brakefield, Brylon and Harper Lovoy, Clara and Hazel Eddings and Kinsley Crider; sisters, Charlene Newton and Beverly Pruden; sister-in-law, Nancy Click; several other relatives and many friends. Graveside service and interment will be Monday May 9, 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Freewill Cemetery in West Jefferson. Rev. Terry Murphree will officiate. Visitation is Monday 12:30-1:30 pm at the funeral home.
