Kristy Caroline McCoy May 6, 1969 – August 2, 2026 Kristy Caroline McCoy, age 57, of Corner, Alabama, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at her home. Born on May 6, 1969, in Alabama, Kristy was the beloved daughter of Ed and Susan Fitzgerald. She was a devoted wife to Thomas McCoy, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother. As a stay-at-home mom, Kristy dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her greatest joy was loving and serving those closest to her, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Dora AL. She had a gentle heart, a caring spirit, and a deep Christian faith that guided her throughout her life. She loved Jesus and found hope, strength, and peace in His promises. Kristy is survived by her loving husband, Thomas McCoy; her sons, Jacob McCoy and his wife, Jada, and Joshua McCoy and his wife, Kaitlyn; her cherished grandsons, Elijah and Owen; her mother, Susan Fitzgerald; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Fitzgerald; her brother, Danny McCreless; her father-in-law, Oz McCoy; her mother-in-law, Grace McCoy; her brother-in-law, Wayne McCoy; and her sister-in-law, Sherrie McCoy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in The New Horizon Memorial Chapel with Bro. John Foles officiating. A family viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends during visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery. While our hearts grieve her passing, we rejoice in the assurance that Kristy is now in the presence of her Savior. Her love, kindness, and unwavering faith have left a lasting legacy that will continue through her family and all who were blessed to know her.
